The thesis

Asking should be faster — and end in a better next step — than opening another app.

Ten seconds from a question to a useful outcome. Better prose is not the product. A lighter day is.

One afternoon

The day,in one voice.

01 / 10

Scroll the afternoon. Concise first. Depth when you ask. A yes before anything is saved.

We're playing UNO. Can I stack a Draw Two on a Draw Two?

Orbit

Official rules: no. You play a Draw Two, the next person draws. Stacking is a house rule. I can label it that way for the table.

Preference

Walk · 8 min bufferDeclared, not inferred

Least privilege. If the next event is enough, the rest of your life stays put. You can ask why, and turn a factor off.

The loop

Speak. Understand. Then move.

  1. 01

    Speak

Push to talk. The transcript is live, and you can correct a word before it becomes a plan.

  2. 02

    Understand

Intent, stakes, and depth. A rules question is not a calendar write. A hard day is not a diagnosis.

  3. 03

    Contextualize

Only the permissioned facts this moment needs. The rest of your life stays where it is.

  4. 04

    Answer

One sentence when that's enough. A card when you need to compare, confirm, or see the source.

  5. 05

    Continue

“The second one.” “Walking distance.” Constraints stay until the topic ends or you reset them.

Trust, as a product

How Orbit earns trust

01

Memory is visible.

Inspect it, edit it, expire it, erase it. Explicit memories stay because you asked. Session chatter does not become a file on you.

02

Nothing important happens in silence.

A reminder is previewed. A calendar change shows the diff. You get a receipt. If a write fails, Orbit says so — it never implies the thing is done.

03

Evidence before confidence.

Confirmed by a source. Highly likely. Or simply: I can't verify that yet. Facts, inference, and house rules stay in different sentences.

In the day

Back to what you were doing before the sentence ended.

Plan

What's next?

Studio review in 18 minutes. Leave in six if you walk. It's raining.

Learn

Explain it like I'm twelve, then quiz me.

Chlorophyll catches the light. Five questions. Hints first.

Ask

Draw Two on a Draw Two?

Official rules: no. Stacking is a house rule — labeled as one.

Remember

Remember I prefer quiet places.

Saved to Memory. You can correct it or tell Orbit to forget.

Act

Dinner on the route home. Somewhere new.

One recommendation, two reasons, two alternatives. You choose.

Talk

I've had a terrible day.

Name it, ground for a minute, or text someone you trust. Orbit stays an assistant.

First cohort

Students, mid-sentence.

  • Explain it, then make me try.
  • Three assignments. What do I start?
  • The official rule, not the loudest friend.
  • English and Hindi, even in one breath.

A study tool, not a way around the work.

Alongside

Dense days, fewer tabs.

  • What's next — commitment plus the walk.
  • Leave now, only when it actually matters.
  • The ninety-second version of the meeting.
  • A reminder that waits for you to say yes.

Same voice. A different day.

Before you ask it anything.

Is it always listening?

No. The first version is push to talk. A wake word is a later, optional experiment. Ambient listening is not the product.

Does it keep my voice?

Raw audio is off by default. You see a transcript you can edit. Memory stores what you explicitly ask it to remember — not a recording of the room.

Can it message someone or spend money?

Not in the first version. Orbit can draft a thought and create a reminder after you confirm. Purchases, bookings, and autonomous messages stay out.

Is this therapy?

No. Orbit can help you reflect, ground, or pick a next step, and it will point toward people and local crisis resources when that matters. It is software. It is not a clinician, a partner, or a crisis service.

Who is it for?

The first two cohorts are university students and young professionals — people with several small voice jobs in a single day.

What if I say no to calendar or location?

Orbit still answers, explains, and remembers. Planning and “what’s next” get sharper when you allow them. Denial is a choice, not a wall.

Early access

Come in on the first orbit.

One city at a time. Students and young professionals first. We'll write when a seat opens — about access, not a substitute for showing up in your life.

Gender

Orbit is an assistant, not a clinician.
